Hoffe, Bonnie Henry and the vaccine-reporting claim: who is named, what is proven, and what records are still needed

The Reel is real and the B.C. accountability question is real. The strongest claims still need primary records.

Bottom line: Hoffe’s public dispute with B.C. public-health authorities is documented, and Castanet reported his CPSBC citation was withdrawn. But the Reel’s claim that officials “censored every single safety report” and that events were “criminal” remains an allegation unless AEFI logs, correspondence, CPSBC files or court/oversight records prove it.

The source trail points to Dr. Monika Naus. Hoffe-related search snippets say he sent an open letter to Dr. Bonnie Henry and that Henry referred the matter to vaccine-safety specialist Dr. Monika/Monica Naus. UBC confirms Naus was a senior BCCDC immunization/vaccine-preventable-disease leader until 2024 and was active nationally on NACI/CIC and vaccine-safety work. The sampled Instagram frames did not show a clear collage, so NewsForBC labels this identification as likely/source-trail based, not face-ID certainty.

Short answer: the Facebook post points to a real B.C. Open Information response package, and several email kernels are real. But the post’s wording overstates key points: the Jan. 17 death email does not prove vaccine causation or “first death in B.C.;” AEFI counts are surveillance reports, not automatic causality; and the “mitigate the damage” quote does not match the OCR’d FOI pages found.
